Love Island latest: Tommy and Molly-Mae say ‘I love you’ and Marvin makes a play for Amber

L word: Tommy and Molly-Mae say 'I love you' (Picture: ITV)

Love Island stars Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague hit an important relationship milestone as they say “I love you for the first time.”

The couple, who finally became official during last night’s episode after Tommy asked Molly-Mae to be his girlfriend, drop “the big ‘L’” before they drift off to sleep.

Reflecting on the declarations the following day, Tommy shares the news with the boys, telling them: “The big ‘L’ has been dropped. It’s a comforting feeling knowing that someone has the same feeling as you. Whenever I see her, I get nervous!

Speaking in the Beach Hut, he adds: “I don’t care who knows it. I will shout it from the rooftops. It’s a nice feeling.”

Meanwhile Molly-Mae lets Anna Vakili, Amber Gill and Maura Higgins in on the secret, telling them that she and Tommy have “dropped the ‘L’ bomb.”

“I’m not the type of person to rush things, so I know it’s a genuine feeling,” she adds. “I know that we both feel it.”

Following her dramatic split from Michael Griffiths, Amber is currently single - and it seems as if an unexpected islander has been harbouring a crush on her.

After being unceremoniously ditched by Maura, Marvin Brooks decides that the time is right to make a move on his fellow contestant.

However, he’s clearly a little nervous about approaching her and decides to practice the scenario with Anton Danyluk to fine tune his flirting techniques.

When he finally asks Amber for a chat, he tells her: “We’ve spent a lot of time together in a group but I don’t feel like we’ve spent a lot of time together one-on-one. You intrigue me.”

Amber hits back with “Yes, I tend to do that,” before telling the personal trainer that she “wasn’t expecting” his revelation.

Will she be open to pursuing things with Marvin, or is she still hung up on Michael?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
