Love Island issues trolling plea to viewers ahead of new series line-up reveal

Love Island bosses have urged viewers to 'be kind' ahead of the reveal of this year's contestants.

After plans for a summer series last year were thwarted by the coronavurus pandemic, it has been confirmed that Love Island 2021 will kick off on Monday, June 28.

Since making its debut on ITV2 in 2015, Love Island has remained much talked about TV as record audiences have drank in all the drama from the villa, whether it be a catfight over a man, a tense firepit conversation or a dramatic dumping.

Love Island 2021 line-up rumours including NHS doctor and former WAG

Winners over the years have included Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay and the only Winter Love Island champions to date, Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, who also happen to be one of the only Love Island winning couples still together.

The other is Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde who won the show in 2016. After a brief split, they rekindled their romance and Cara fell pregnant with their first child.

They got married in 2019 and now have another baby together.

The Love Island line-up rumours are coming thick and fast now with two 'confirmed' Islanders leaked this weekend.

The full confirmed line-up will be revealed on Monday and ahead of the announcement, Love Island chiefs have urged viewers not to troll the contestants.

In a brief statement posted on social media on Sunday evening, they wrote: "YOU’VE GOT A TEXT! Tomorrow we will be revealing the cast for Love Island 2021… These islanders are all single and ready to find love.

We can’t wait to watch them get to know each other, date and maybe even find the one.

“We are so grateful they’re letting us follow their journey this summer. We hope you enjoy the show, but please think before you post.”

The statement comes after Love Island bosses revealed they were stepping up their duty of care protocol this year.

The new protocol includes enhanced psychological support, more detailed conversations with potential Islanders regarding the impact of participation on the show, bespoke training for all Islanders on social media and a proactive aftercare package.
