Love Island host Maya Jama lets slip Casa Amor 'secret' at The Brits

Temperatures will be turned up in South Africa from tonight (Sunday February 12) as Love Island brings back its infamous Casa Amor stage to put relationships to the test. Dubbed the 'ultimate relationship test', the twist sees a batch of six new girls and six new boys head into the main TV villa and neighbouring villa Casa Amor.

The new bombshells will shake things up on the winter edition of the ITV2 dating contest as the boys and the girls are separated with new faces to get to know. Currently the couples are Olivia Hawkins and Kai Fagan, Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, Will Young and Jessie Wynter and new couple Casey O'Gorman and Claudia Fogarty.

Love Island's new host Maya Jama, who has replaced Laura Whitmore at the helm of the long-running show, appeared to let a secret slip that she was heading back to South Africa and returning to our screens for Casa Amor on Monday night (February 13) as she chatted to The BRIT Awards presenter Mo Gilligan at the glitzy awards.

"You're smashing it out of the park. Are you enjoying yourself in the villa?" asked Mo, who joined Maya at her table at London's The O2 Arena on Saturday night. "I'm loving it," she gushed. "Do you know what, I'm back on Mon... Nooo," she continued before stopping herself in her tracks.

And she turned around to ask: "It's a secret, is it? Is it a secret I'm there?" as her fellow guests laughed. "Oooh," gasped Mo, as Maya changed tack and said: "I'm back very soon because somes exciting stuff is about to happen. So I'll be back in South Africa."

But a smiling Mo told her: "Well we know what that is, Casa Amor." And she replied coyly: "Maybe." Fellow guest The Masked Singer presenter Joel Dommett then took the heat off Maya as he joked: "I'm going in, that's the secret."

In tonight's Love Island the girls are getting ready, when Samie receives a top secret text. It reads: “Girls, shush keep it quiet it’s time for you to sneak out of the Villa as you are off on a girly getaway, grab any essentials and please leave the Villa immediately #MakeABreakForIt #CasaAmor.”

As the girls rush out of the Villa in their dressing gowns and towels, with just a few of their belongings, it isn’t long before the boys clock their absence. Meanwhile in the main villa, as the boys speculate as to the girls’ whereabouts, it all becomes clear when they receive a text, which reads: “Boys, the girls have gone away for a few nights, please now pack them a case for their trip #GoneForAGoodTimeNotALongTime #CasaAmor.”

As the girls make themselves at home in Casa Amor they all chant: "What happens in Casa Amor stays in Casa Amor." And one girl says: “When the cat’s away the mice will play."

While they toast their first evening away they receive another text that reads: “Girls, welcome to Casa Amor you will have six new boys to get to know. "Please get ready to meet Maxwell, Frankie, Bayley, Martin, Kain and Ryan #GirlsOnJob #TimeForAmorBoys.”

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
