Love Island host Maya Jama and Man City star Ruben Dias split after 18-month romance

Maya Jama and Ruben Dias have reportedly split, ending their 18-months relationship.

The Love Island star and the Manchester City defender broke up three weeks ago, before Maya jetted off to Scotland to shoot The Celebrity Traitors, according to The Sun.

The pair first began dating in December 2024 after meeting at the MTV Europe Music Awards, with Maya moving into the footballer’s Alderley Edge mansion.

However, the couple have now both begun deleting loved-up photos of their time together from their social media profiles.

After filming Celebrity Traitors, Maya will soon begin hosting the next series of Love Island while Dias heads to the US to take part in the World Cup with Portugal.

Before dating Dias, Maya’s most famous romance was with chart-topping rapper Stormzy, who she dated between January 2015 and August 2019, and again in 2023 and 2024.

Announcing the second breakup in July 2024, the former couple said: “We’ve been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we’d be the couple announcing a breakup.

“But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that’s needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to.”

The TV presenter also had a romance with NBA player and the ex of Kendall Jenner, Ben Simmons, between 2021 and 2022.

Before Maya, the centre-back dated Portuguese singer April Ivy from 2018 to 2021, and was briefly linked to Love Islander Arabella Chi between late 2023 and early 2024.
