Love Island host Caroline Flack lost a stone thanks to simple diet hack

Love Island 2019 host Caroline Flack has revealed cutting sugar from her diet helped her lose a stone.

The TV presenter, 39, lost weight back in 2016 by going on a 12-week detox which involved avoiding all sweet treats.

She also avoided alcohol during the health kick, but she said it was the sugar that made the biggest difference.

Speaking in 2016, Caroline told Express.co.uk : "I went really hard with my detox. I probably went a little overboard because I was really strict in those 12-weeks.

"But cutting sugar made the most difference to my body. It’s the devil. It’s addictive and it’s in so many things you would’t even think of.

"Sugar is put in sauces, breads and yoghurts. It’s not always obvious but so many things are packed in sugar.”

Caroline insisted she didn't change her diet too much and still enjoyed foods she loved, butu tried to avoid anything with high sugar levels.

She explained: "Breakfast is a huge meal for me. I have eggs, avocado and bacon. I try to avoid bread or fruits and vegetables high in sugar, like tomatoes.

“But I don’t calorie count. I like to eat a lot to fuel me for a big day or a good workout.”

The telly beauty went on to reveal she loves exercise as it helps her de-stress and she tried to get in a work-out even when she's away from home.

She has previously condemned trolls who criticised her over her weight during her X factor hosting stint in 2015.
