A Love Island hopeful spent £15,000 on cosmetic surgery to land a spot on the show, but failed for a fourth time.
Emily Dorrell a 27-year-old single mum from Coventry, has been trying to impress Love Island producers for years and after three rejections, decided to go under the knife to try and get on this year's series.
Speaking to Closer Magazine , Emily revealed that she had a boob lift, boob reduction and a Brazilian butt lift and 'squandered her house deposit' in chasing her reality TV dream.
Emily told Closer that she had a boob reduction as she didn't have the "skinny look you see on Love Island," as she was a "size 14 with JJ boobs."
She was hoping that becoming an Islander could find her love but more importantly it would kick-start her career as she hoped to start a fashion line.
Emily believed the surgery was "an investment" in her future as she had seen "girls like Olivia Attwood go on to have great careers and make money."
Emily claims she is 'obsessed' with the ITV2 dating show and has been desperate to be a part of it.
After sending a message to the show's Instagram account, Emily was excited to receive a reply from a producer, who said they would look out for her application.
It was then that she decided to undergo surgery to enhance her chances of getting on the show. Looking to live the life of a reality star, Emily headed to a Marbella clinic for the six-hour operation, after it had been recommended by a Geordie Shore star.
Emily admitted that her surgery hadn't met universal approval in her family.
She revealed: "My mum was furious and told me I was being selfish... I did feel guilty about leaving my son behind with Mum – but I thought I was investing in a future for us if it would bring career opportunities."
