Love Island had an extra recoupling that viewers don't know about

Although Love Island graces our screens every night, there are moments that fans don't see.

Lifting the lid on behind-the-scenes show secrets, former Islander Amy Hart, who appeared on the 2019 series, revealed there's a 'secret recoupling.'

Taking part in a TikTok Q&A trend, the 28-year-old was asked if there was a recoupling at Casa Amor - the secret villa that sees contestants separated from their partners and tempted with a new batch of bombshells, reports Manchester Evening News.

While fans get to see the Casa Amor Islanders returning to the main villa either single or with their new partners, it turns out there's a recoupling held earlier in the day as the Islanders make their decisions.

In this year's series, Kaz recoupled with Matthew after Tyler ditched her for new girl Clarisse.

Faye also decided to move on with new boy Sam after she saw Teddy kissing Clarisse - a picture which was taken from a game of Truth or Dare.

Millie stayed loyal to Liam and was overjoyed when he did the same until she found out he'd been kissing Lillie in Casa Amor.

Chloe coupled up with Dale while Hugo paired up with Amy, and Toby betrayed Abi with Mary, leaving her single.

Amy - who had her heartbroken by Curtis Pritchard after his head was turned by Jourdan Riane while she was in Casa Amor - was asked: "Recoupling at Casa Amor before they return?" by a fan.

To which she replied: "Yes in the afternoon!"

Amy was also asked if the contestants are told who to recouple with and she said: "No not at all."

When asked how long the recoupling scenes take to film, Amy replied: "Two hours for normal ones about four hours for Casa return."

Amy also explained that Islanders are allowed "two drinks [of alcohol] a night", with the first one sometimes being Prosecco.

"Why don’t we see you eat?" someone else asked, as Amy revealed: "Much more exciting stuff to show."

Aaron Francis, who was recently dumped from the villa, recently revealed why the Islanders put on their sunglasses as soon as they wake up in the morning.

Take a look at why here.
