Love Island Greg O'Shea is a law graduate, pro rugby player and would-be Olympian

There's just over a week to go until Love Island series 5 comes to an end.

So any singletons left on the ITV2 show are doing some serious grafting.

And Greg O'Shea, who came into the villa this week, is working his socks off.

So just who is this handsome Irish fella?

Well he's a professional rugby player, aged 24, from Limerick.

And if that's not impressive enough, he revealed on the show that he had a law degree, and it's from Limerick University.

He's now doing further training to be a solicitor.

Greg, who lives in Dublin, played Rugby Sevens for the Irish national side in the 2018 World Cup Sevens, and this year helped Ireland win the Hong Kong Sevens tournament which helped their qualifications for the World Rugby Sevens Series.

After his summer stint in the sun it's understood Greg will get on board with the team to try for the Olympics in Tokyo next year.

How's his grafting going in the villa?

Before joining the show, Greg says he was in a relationship that didn't work out.

He told ITV : “I saw myself marrying the last girl I was with, I was saving up for a ring but she called it a day after our lives together just didn’t work out.

“My career means I’m away travelling a lot and she was struggling with that in the relationship.”

Greg told producers he had his eye on Co Longford star Maura Higgins.

He said: “I’d say me and Maura will hit it off straight away, being two Irish people and she’s hilarious.

“She’s very naturally funny and she’s gorgeous as well so you never know.”

But during a breakfast date Maura explained she was interested in Curtis Pritchard.

And after a successful first date on his opening night in the villa, a chat with Amber Gill screened on Wednesday night was interrupted by her ex Michael Griffiths, who has had a change of heart after dumping her for Joanna Chimondes.

Will the Irish man's charm be enough to keep Amber's attention?

A crux recoupling on Friday's episode will reveal all..

*Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2
