It was the showbiz news that shocked everyone at the end of last week and Love Island fans have voted with their phones by unfollowing Greg O'Shea in their droves after he dumped Amber Gill by text.
It was confirmed on Friday afternoon that Irish rugby player Greg had dumped Amber , less than two months after they won Love Island together, splitting the £50,000 cash prize.
And it was the manner that Greg called time on the relationship that rubbed many people up the wrong way.
Appearing on Loose Women on Monday , Amber herself said she'd been left upset by his actions, saying "I'm obviously really disappointed. I wasn't expecting it.
"The career and the distance is always a factor. It is what it is, really."
And while Amber has seen her number of followers on Instagram soar to the 2.9 million mark, Greg's has dropped sharply, going down by by 18,213 followers on Sunday with a further 32,308 people unfollowing him since Monday.
Speaking about her own Instagram following, Amber said ""I think I went in the villa with about 4,000 Instagram followers then I came out with 2 million and now I've got 3 million and it's crazy and everyone recognises you, but I'm so happy.
"It makes me happy that I'm making people happy."
