Love Island girls tell Liberty she's an 'idiot' after Jake finally says 'I love you'

Love Island's Liberty Poole will be left gutted when the rest of the girls tells her what they really think of her boyfriend Jake Cornish.

In a teaser clip for Sunday night's upcoming episode, Liberty can be seen confiding in her pals after Jake told her he loved her on Friday evening.

Fellow IslanderChloe Burrows is heard asking Liberty: "Do you not think he’s telling you what you want to hear?"

Looking gobsmacked, Liberty asks them: "Is that what you guys all think? Do you think I’m being an idiot?"

It's unsure just how honest the girls will be with Liberty, as of course they don't want to hurt her feelings.

But some of the ladies were seen talking about Jake during Friday night's episode.

As Faye laid on a day bed with her partner Teddy, she told him: "He’s a showman. He did the girlfriend thing because he’s a showman, that won’t work on the outside."

Teddy stayed pretty silent as he listened to Faye's opinion, but later on in the episode Millie and Kaz both shared their concerns about Jake and whether or not his feelings are genuine.

It comes after Liberty and Jake were voted for by the public as being the most one-sided couple.

The pair were genuinely shocked at the result as Jake said in the Beach Hut: "It's not nice to hear that the public think our relationship is one sided."

Liberty added: "Savage! Never in a million years did I expect me and Jake to be up there with the one-sided thing. I'm actually really confused, just mind blown."

However, the challenge went from bad to worse as Brett and Priya also asked the group to decide which three couples the public think will split up first once the show is over.

After hearing the results of the most one-sided couple, they decided to put Liberty and Jake in first place - and they were absolutely right to do so.

Liberty looked gutted yet again and later said in the Beach Hut: "I’m just confused, am I missing something? Yeah, we’ve had a rocky week but the spark that we have, I’ve never felt like this before."

Clearly feeling funny about it all, Liberty decided to take Jake up to the terrace for a serious chat as she asked him to tell her how she really feels.

The blonde waitress was keen to hear why Jake hadn't told her he loved her, despite her telling him it four weeks ago.

"I said that I love you for weeks ago and you haven’t said it back," she told him.

"I don’t want to be a mug and feel like its one-sided. You need to communicate with me how you’re feeling."

Looking rather uncomfortable, Jake replied: "I feel like a little kid and I feel giddy. You make me so happy, I’m happiest when I’m with you.

"I feel like I have found what I have been looking for because I love you for you," he continued, as Liberty grinned from ear-to-ear.

"I do love ya... Liberty, I love you, you make me so happy and I love you."

The couple then shared a kiss and cuddle, but viewers were not convinced at all and took to Twitter to comment.

"why does jake acc just talk such bulls**t like shut the f**k up #LoveIsland," one person posted.

A second person wrote: "Jake telling liberty those 3 special words. The fake snake. I can't. It was unbearable #loveisland #jakethesnake #jakeloveisland."

And a third added: "Mortified at Jake saying he I Love You to Liberty. She basically forced him and now it’s cringey as f**k #LoveIsland."

Love Island continues on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
