Love Island girls red-faced after learning Edinburgh is in Scotland

Scots viewers were left scratching their heads last night after a cringe-worthy conversation about Edinburgh .

Belle Hassan revealed on the Saturday night 'Unseen Bits' show that she had to ask Scotsman , who she is coupled up with, if Edinburgh is "actually" in Scotland.

After revealing her findings about the capital to Joanna and Jourdan, Belle added: "Dublin is in Ireland. Did you know that?"

Giving more ammunition to the Love Island critics, Joanna replied: "I didn’t know…oh my god...is Italy in Rome or Rome in Italy?"

Jourdan confirmed to the pair that Rome is in fact the capital of Italy.

Belle then goes on to ask: "Is Barcelona in Rome?"

Jourdan replies: "Barcelona is in Italy" with a confused Belle responding: "Really? I thought it was Spanish."

Later in the episode, Belle quizzed Airdrie gym owner Anton: "Is Scotland and England the same place? The same country?"
