Love Island gets HUNDREDS of complaints after Maura Higgins tries to kiss Tommy Fury

Hundreds of Love Island viewers have made formal complaints about outrageous Islander Maura Higgins to the TV watchdog Ofcom.

Fans were left feeling uncomfortable after Maura, 28, attempted to kiss boxer Tommy Fury, 20, who was resisting her approaches.

Longford native Maura, leaned for a kiss while Tommy was lying on a sofa but the amateur sportsman said "No" and turned his head away.

The moment on Friday sparked 486 complaints to the broadcasting regulator, Mirror.co.uk reports.

One viewer wrote: " Maura needs to be removed from the villa, that’s sexual harassment, imagine if she was the guy... disgusting."

And even Piers Morgan waded into the debate, calling the brunette "predatory".

Viewers have also been complaining about Lucie Donlan's treatment by other Islanders in the villa.

Some have said she's being ganged up on, while others have branded Joe Garratt "controlling" of her.

A whopping 302 viewers have complained about this so far.

An Ofcom spokesperson said: “We will assess these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”

Mirror Online has contacted ITV2 for comment.
