Love Island 'flagged to Ofcom' after fans complain about Joe's treatment of Lucie

Love Island fans have reportedly complained to Ofcom over Joe Garrat's "manipulative" treatment of Lucie Donlan.

The broadcasting regulator was contacted by five viewers who branded his treatment of his fellow Islander "possessive" after seeing him quiz her about her date with new boy Tommy Fury.

An Ofcom spokesperson told The Sun : "We will assess these complaints under our broadcasting rules but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate."

It came after Joe was seen getting jealous over Lucie's date with the newbie.

They coupled up on the first day but Lucie was stolen from him when Tommy decided to couple up with her after being given 24 hours to get to know the girls.

Joe broke down in tears and demanded to know what had happened on her date with the boxer.

Lucie was left devastated after being caught in the middle of the two boys and tried to diffuse the situation by sleeping alone on the couch in the living room, rather than in the bed she was supposed to share with Tommy.

The next day, Joe took Lucie to one side and told her he was jealous.

Things turned a bit nasty when he said he no longer felt like he could trust her.

When she talked about their kiss, he panicked that she'd also kissed Tommy, and Lucie ended up so upset she was in tears herself.

She turned to fellow Islander Amy for advice, and the air hostess told her she thought Tommy's behaviour was ringing alarm bells.

The events took place after just a couple of days in the villa, and people watching couldn't understand how the stars could feel that way already.

One said on Twitter : "These people catching feelings before they’ve even caught tans embarrassing."

"Joe it been three days bro," another said.
