Love Island first look: Will Anton and Belle give their romance a second chance tonight?

Love Island’s Anton Danyluk and Belle Hassan’s relationship has hit a hurdle after an explosive row - but can the couple patch things up?

Last night’s episode saw the pair fall out after Anton chose to kiss fellow islander Anna Vakili in the ‘Snog, Marry, Pie’ challenge as she had previously been voted the best kisser in the villa.

When Anton then chose to “marry” Belle, she turned down his fake proposal, leaving him claiming that he had been “mugged off.”

As the islanders headed off on a night out, things got yet more heated as the couple ended up in a shouting match.

Questioning: Anton wonders whether he can see a future with Belle (ITV)

Tonight’s instalment sees the pair reeling from the heated disagreement as Anton starts to question their relationship, asking Curtis Pritchard: “Do I really want someone that can talk about me in that manner when they’re annoyed?”

After cooling off overnight - with Anton opting to sleep on the couch - they attempt to discuss their differences.

“I slept on the couch because I felt like it was an emotional rollercoaster last night,” he tells her.

Apologies: Can the pair move past their differences? (ITV)

“Regardless of the situation, I think we’re going to disagree. The bottom line is that you feel I’ve mugged you off and I feel like you’ve mugged me off.”

“I know that I am a hot-head and that is something I have to work on,” Belle responds. “When I’ve fell [sic] for someone, they’ve hurt me and I’m scared of being hurt again.”

“You’ve got so many good qualities that I’m looking for,” he replies. “Yes, you’re a bit fiery and yes maybe you mugged me off a bit yesterday but there is so much good in you.

“I feel like if you want to work at this, we can just get back to where we were. If that is what you want as well?”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
