Love Island first look sees remaining Islanders learn the results of vote ahead of final

The Love Island 2023 final is fast approaching and the remaining couples are all hoping to be in with a chance of making it to the last episode, which airs on Monday, March 13. However, in a first look at the instalment that airs on Friday, March 10, the Islanders learn the results of a savage vote.

In a Love Island first, show bosses revealed the Islanders would have to vote for their least compatible couple while on their final dates. The shock twist means the pairs with the most votes are vulnerable and at risk of being dumped before the final

Traditionally four couples go through to the live final, and with five couples remaining in the villa, it's likely the results of the vote will see one pair booted out with just days to go. Those still left in the South African villa are Tanya Mahenga and Shaq Muhammad, Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, Jessie Wynter and Will Young, Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, and Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan.

In scenes set to air tonight, the remaining two couples will go on their final dates before the Islanders receive a text asking them to gather around the fire pit. As the contestants discuss their dates they are soon disturbed as the villa gets a message that reads: "Can all Islanders gather around the fire pit immediately."

Once gathered around the fire pit the Islanders receive another text which says: "Islanders, as you know on your final dates you had to decide which couple you think is the least compatible. The couples voted least compatible are..."

As the results are announced the Islanders branch off to discuss who they think voted for who, whether any of the couples will reveal who they picked is yet to be seen. Elsewhere in the episode Jessie and Will enjoy a date at a barn dance with horses, chickens and goats.

Afterward, sitting together on the hay bales Will says: "It's like a massive reminder of home because my mum and dad would talk about barn dances and I've never been to one, so experiencing it with you is such a magical moment."

Later Kai and Sanam enjoy a date at a stunning location complete with sweeping staircases and candles, as they are treated to music by a pianist. Discussing their future Kai talks about his family as he tells Sanam: "My mum will absolutely adore you because you're literally the kindest most sweet-hearted girl that I've ever met and she will see how good you are for me."

It comes after Lana and Ron, Samie and Tom, and Tanya and Shaq enjoyed their final dates on Thursday, March 9. You can read more on this episode here.
