Love Island news: Has Anton left the villa? Why is he not on tonight's show?

Anton Danyluk will not appear in tonight’s episode of Love Island after he "spent the night away from the villa” due to illness.

ITV confirmed that the reality contestant briefly left the villa as he was not feeling well, meaning that he will not feature in any scenes aired during the next instalment of the dating show.

“After feeling unwell during the day, Anton spent the night away from the villa and is subsequently missing from tonight’s episode,” the broadcaster said.

“He has since returned to the villa.”

Tonight’s episode will be packed with drama as Michael Griffiths admits that he still has feelings for former flame Amber Gill.

Following Joanna Chimonides’ departure from the show earlier this week, the firefighter confesses that he still likes his ex - despite having vehemently denied that they would ever rekindle their romance.

In a shock turnaround, the islander confesses his feelings to Curtis Pritchard, Ovie Soko and Jordan Hames, telling them: “Now Joanna’s gone I’ve had time to think about things and I do actually like Amber.”

He also reveals that he “actively avoided Amber” while Joanna was in the villa.

Meanwhile Amber has her head turned as she goes on a date with new islander Greg O’Shea, who promises to “spoil her” after “all the drama’s that’s been happening.”

“I’m telling you now, I haven’t liked one boy that has come in,” she later admits to the girls. “That boy has got the luck of the Irish!”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
