Love Island finalists look smitten as they hold hands at the airport on the way home

Love is definitely still in the air for the finalists of Love Island who have now returned to the UK to begin their new lives away from the villa.

Show winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon looked smitten with each other as they strolled through Mallorca airport on Wednesday morning.

The couple adorably held hands as they prepared to board a flight back to the UK – and towards their new lives as ‘the real life Gavin and Stacey’.

It has already been reported that 21-year-old Liam plans to move away from his native Wales to live in Essex in order to be closer to 24-year-old beauty Millie.

The pair dressed in his n hers style for their flight, with both wearing complementary light grey colours for their trip.

Fellow Islanders Chloe Barrows and Toby Aromolaran were also spied at the airport getting the same flight as the show winners.

Chloe, 25, and Toby, 22, were runners up on the series – and viewers saw their romance go from strength to strength over the course of the series.

The couple looked in high spirits as they prepared to board their flight – with Toby looking casual in a comfortable grey tracksuit, and Chloe sizzling in figure-hugging sportswear.

Love Island winners Liam and Millie are still pinching themselves since winning the show.

Liam said in a post-victory interview: “It’s a surreal feeling we never thought that this would ever happen. We’ve done it together and we’re on top of the world right now, we couldn’t be happier.”

Millie agreed, saying: “When it had been fourth and third place and then it got to us, the final two couples that’s when it hit and I was like, ‘Ok this is actually between first and second place now!’”

Viewers saw the couple crowned winners on Monday night’s live series finale – with Millie handed an envelope telling her she had won the £50,000 prize.

Asked if she ever considered keeping the money for herself, she said: “No, never. That didn’t cross my mind.

“I came on the show to find love at the end of the day, so we said for ages now anything after we found what we found was a bonus.

“Then to receive that money, it was just incredible. But there wasn’t a doubt in my mind - I was going to share that with Liam because we’re about to experience life together.”

While Liam says the relationship he started on the show is worth more than any amount of cash.

He gushed: What I have with Millie money can’t buy, any money in the world would mean nothing to me unless I had Millie with me. I would have been splitting it one hundred million percent.”

The two have also teased that their romance could get more serious now they are moving away from the cameras in the villa for a new life together.

Liam said: “I dropped the ‘L-bomb’ a few days ago and said that I loved Millie and she said the same back, so we’re already a thing we are together but it’s just putting that title on it. It was on my mind.

Laura asked us the question, ‘Is boyfriend, girlfriend coming next?’ and Millie said, ‘Yes in the future, it’ll be happening soon’ and I thought, ‘Well, it's been on my mind so let’s do it!’

“I couldn’t think of anything more [that I wanted to do] than making Millie my girlfriend because I love her.”

The pair have even teased they will get married in the future, with Millie laughing: “The proposal is going to have to be massive.”

Liam added: “It’s going to be huge, I’m sure I can pull it out of the bag. I’m sure I can do it.”
