Love Island final voting figures reveal result was incredibly close

A week on from the show ending, Love Island bosses have released the voting stats for the final which reveal the closest result in the show's history.

At the end of Love Island's first ever winter series, host Laura Whitmore announced that Paige and Finn had beaten Siannise and Luke T, much to many people's surprise.

Siannise and Luke T had been odds on bookies favourite to triumph in the live final and some angry viewers called fix after they didn't win. But now ITV voting figures have revealed they came incredibly close to doing so.

In stark contrast to Love Island 2019's final result when Amber and Greg beat bookies favourite Molly-Mae and Tommy by 20 per cent, there was less than ONE per cent between Paige and Finn and Siannise and Luke T.

Statistics show Paige and Finn got 44.52% of votes, while Siannise and Luke T were extremely close close behind, with a 43.61% percentage of votes.

Third place couple Demi and Luke M won 9.62% of the vote, with Jess and Ched in fourth with 2.25% of votes.

Applications are now open for the next series of Love Island with host Laura confirming that the summer run would see the show return to its usual stomping ground of Majorca, after being based in South Africa for the latest series.
