Love Island final to be shown on massive screen in Newcastle city centre

This year's series has heated up in the past week and, while we don't know when it will be yet, it has been confirmed that the Love Island final will air on a big screen in Newcastle.

With the arrival of new girl Arabella and Love Island 2019 could be about to step up a few notches and already this year it has broken viewing figure records for ITV2, with close to 6 million people watching its first episode, when taking into account catch up and views on mobile devices.

There is of course some keen Geordie involvement in the new series thanks to Whickham beauty therapist Amber Gill.

And the even better news is that Amber and Michael are the current favourites to win based on the current Love Island odds.

If the 21 year old does indeed make the final, you'll be able to cheer her on at Stack as the big city centre shipping container development will screen the last episode on its big screen, having broadcast launch night on it.

The exact date of this year is still TBC, but, based on previous years, it's looking like the last Monday in July.

There's sure to be a lot more drama in the Love Island villa before then and don't rule out the appearance of another Geordie!
