Love Island final 2023 voting figures revealed by ITV bosses and Kai and Sanam won big

Love Island 2023 came to an end on Monday, March 13 after eight weeks on screens. The final episode saw presenter Maya Jama return to the South African villa to announce who had won series 9 live on ITV2 and ITVX.

Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the winter edition of the series, beating Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins who came in second place. Meanwhile, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi came in third and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Mahenga were placed fourth. You can see exactly how the live final played out here.

The final came just one day after another brutual dumping and public vote saw Jessie Wynter and Will Young booted from the show, just missing out on a place in the 2023 final. Those tuning in might have been wondering what the voting figures looked like for this year's grand finale, and now ITV bosses have confirmed that Kai and Sanam won big.

Following their win, Kai said: "Honestly, I think we're both so shook." As Sanam added: "So shocked, I can't believe it. I just want to thank every single person out there who has voted for us and supported us. If I could hug every single one of you I would. That's how much love I feel."

Kai then added: "I can't comprehend it, it's mad. Thank you everybody that voted for us. Truly, I'm so thankful." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
