Love Island favourites Mary and Aaron brutally dumped from villa ahead of final

Love Island waved goodbye to another couple on Wednesday night, as another shock dumping hit the 2021 villa.

Just days before the final, Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson were dumped from the villa after receiving the lowest amount of votes in the latest public vote.

The Islanders had no idea another exit was looming, just days after another couple were sent packing - with this in itself sparking huge drama over the past few days.

After Monday's double exit, which saw Priya and Brett bid farewell, it was Mary and Aaron's turn on Wednesday evening's edition of the ITV2 dating series.

The Islanders were all enjoying an evening in the garden, all glammed up, when Faye Winter received a text that changed everything.

It read: "Islanders. Please gather around the fire pit immediately."

When they got there, Kaz Kamwi got another message which said: "The public have been voting for their favourite couple. The couple with the fewest votes will be dumped from the island tonight."

One by one, the couples who were safe from the dumping were confirmed until just one of them remained.

It then became clear that Mary and Aaron were being dumped then and there, with the devastated Islanders soon saying their goodbyes.

The pair vowed to keep on dating and said they wanted to give things a go on the outside, while it will only be a few days until they are reunited with the other stars.

On what the future holds, Mary said: "It’s still proper early days for us. Even though it’s only been 10 days it feels like we’ve been seeing each other for months.

"We said we’re definitely going to give it a go on the outside. Obviously everything changes when you get out so we said we’re just going to cross each bridge as it comes to it.

"We’re definitely going to see each other on the outside."

Aaron added: "We’ve already spoken about stuff we want to do when we’re outside.

"It’s exciting that we’ll be able to do normal couple stuff and form a deeper connection."

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
