Love Island fans worry Anton has left the villa after baffling tweet

Love Island fans have been left worrying if yet another contestant has been kicked off the show.

In a tweet that left viewers baffled, Dancing on Ice star Jake Quickenden suggested the Scot had been the latest Islander to be booted out of the villa.

The 30-year-old's tweet appeared to suggest Anton was removed for the same reason Sherif Lanre was axed.

Sherif's departure was followed by salacious rumours that have been denied by ITV bosses, reports Mirror Online .

Jake wrote on Twitter: "Bloody hell has Anton done the dirty in the Jacuzzi aswell."

Jake's tweet instantly sent fans into a frenzy as they questioned if it was true.

"Wait has he gone??" one tweeted.

Another asked: "Has Anton been kicked off as well????

But rest assured, ITV has confirmed to Mirror Online that Anton is still in the villa.

Bosses were forced to deny that so-called "leaked" messages from Sherif to a viewer were fake today.

Twitter reacts as Sherif Lanre is axed from Love Island

He was kicked off the show yesterday under mysterious circumstances, with the Islander explaining he had "broken the rules".

After his exit, a screengrab of what appeared to be messages from Sherif appeared online.

It suggested the telly star had been axed after having a bust-up with fellow contestant Anton over sexy pharmacist Anna.

(Rumours suggested Anton and Sherif had clashed over Anna)

However, an ITV source has told Mirror Online the messages are fake and that's not the reason he left the villa.

He supposedly wrote: "Anton happened. Purposely moving to Anna while I'm right next to him trying to touch her leg.

"Asked him for a chat in private because I wanted to confront him and it got heated and security had to split us up, heartbroken but s*** happens man."
