Love Island fans want drinking game for every time Shannon Singh says "I'm Scottish"

Love Island fans joked online that they want a drinking game for every time Shannon Singh mentions she'd Scottish.

The brunette bombshell didn't take long letting her new housemates know about her roots after striding into the villa on last night's new series premier.

After first arrivals Kaz and Liberty had issues popping the cork out a champagne bottle, the 22-year-old, from Fife, gladly accepted a drink.

When one of the girls warns her not to spill any, Shannon replied: "I'm Scottish babe, that ain't gonna happen!"

And social media users were quick to joke the phrase would soon become a staple of this summer's series.

It was soon followed by calls to start a drinking game, with players having to 'take a shot' every time the former glamour model mentions she's from Scotland.

One said: "The new phrase of the year is gonna be “I'm Scottish, babe” I’ll bet you any money."

While another commented: "Take a shot every time Shannon mentions she's Scottish."

And a third wrote: "Take a shot every time you hear ‘I’m Scottish’ you’ll be drunk in 10 minutes."

Shannon joins a long list of Scottish contestants to appear in the villa over the years, with viewers last summer treated to Anton Danyluk's west coast accent.

But Shannon's broad Fife twang wasn't music to everyone's ears, with Twitter divided on whether it was 'rotten' or not.

A fan of her tone posted: "This Shannon babe is so fine this is the first Scottish accent I like."

However, others weren't quite so taken, with one saying: "Hearing Shannon’s Fife accent on tv and being forced to accept that’s what I sound like is v upsetting."

As another user added: "Liking Shannon so far but that accent is rotten."

Shannon coupled up with model and VIP host Aaron on last night's opener, but her pulses were exactly set racing by her partner as she admitted he 'wasn't her type'.

She didn't step forward for Aaron but he decided to pick her anyway making them the second couple to get together.
