Love Island fans think Sherif Lanre's statement hints at a FIGHT in the villa

Sherif Lanre has following his shock Love Island exit, though his statement still leaves a question mark over the real reason behind his dismissal.

Some viewers have taken to social media themselves to ask if Sherif had left a cryptic clue in his post.

He wrote: "Thank you to everyone including my friends and family for the support I've come back to.

"I appreciate you all and hope I provided some good, positive moments during my time on Love island and for anyone wondering I'm all good."

After the last line Sherif included a clenched fist emoji prompting some fans to speculate if it was his way of hinting there had been a fight.

Rumours have been rife since Sherif's departure that he'd come to blows with co-star Anton Danyluk in the villa.

After reading Sherif's post, one fan asked: "Do you think that emoji means it was a fight?"

From secretly using his mobile phone, to masturbating to flashing, fans have been speculating which of the show's rules he broke.

On his exit, Sherif simply said he 'made a poor judgement' and didn't 'conduct himself in a right way'.

He said in a statement to Mirror Online: "In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.

"I regret that I didn't conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.

"I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside."

Yesterday, messages emerged appearing to be sent from Sherif's Instagram page alleging a fight had broken out between the 20-year-old chef and Anton.

However, ITV have confirmed this wasn't the case.

A spokesperson said:"We have checked and these messages haven’t come from Sherif."
