Love Island fans have enjoyed some surprising couplings on this series of the ITV dating show, but this could turn out to be the most epic plot twist yet.
Viewers are wondering if Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins could have been playing the longest game so far, because he actually slid into her DMs at the start of the year.
Fans have cast their minds back to Maura's very first appearance in the villa as a newcomer, when Curtis was still coupled up with Amy Hart, and he told Danny Williams that he had messaged her on Instagram.
"Maura, I messaged her on Instagram one time saying she was really good looking," Curtis revealed to Danny.
When Danny asked when this happened, he replied: "At the start of this year. She never replied to me!"
"Now she's come in here and she wants what you've got ..." said Danny.
At the time Curtis insisted: "My head's not turned at all."
But the professional dancer is now single after ditching air hostess Amy, admitting that his head had been turned by new girls arriving in the villa, and he confessed he might end up hurting her again.
Maura then admitted to her pal Lucie Donlan that she fancies Curtis and wants him to teach her to dance, which he does in tonight's episode as Amy seeths.
"He did slide in Maura’s DM’s before Love Island!" one viewer pointed out.
"Me remembering Curtis tried to slide into Mauras DMs earlier this year," tweeted another.
"Wait a second... DIDN’T CURTIS DM MAURA ON INSTA BEFORE LOVE ISLAND?!!" asked another Love Island fan on Twitter.
Maura is now ready to make her move despite being coupled up with Marvin Brooks.
Curtis gives her the dance lesson she's been waiting for as Amy watches and later in the evening she tells Lucie: "I think I fancy him even more after today."
It appears things are definitely over between Marvin and Maura and the next evening, Maura asks Curtis for a chat and tells him how she feels.
