Love Island fans spot new boy Greg O'Shea's hilarious 'dig' at Michael Griffiths

Love Island 2019 new boy Greg O’Shea has left viewers in hysterics, with them believing he’s been making digs at love rival Michael Griffiths.

Ever since his arrival in the villa, Greg has appeared to get Michael’s name wrong calling him “Mick”, and sometimes “Mike”.

While he may simply be shortening the name, some fans found this a little weird given he’d only been in the villa for a matter of hours.

But some viewers are convinced he’s doing it on purpose, and that Amber Gill might be the reason.

Love Island fans think Greg is taking aim at Michael (ITV)

Shortly after Amber and Greg enjoyed a date, her former flame Michael confessed he still had feelings for her.

He'd originally dumped her for Joanna during the Casa Amor recoupling, but since her exit he has completed a major u-turn.

Greg found the confession “too much” as he continued to attempt to woo the Geordie lass.

Now, fans are suggesting Greg’s name mishaps with Michael may be a dig at the islander for trying to win Amber back.

One viewer said: “Personally a huge fan of Greg calling Michael Mike/Mick at every opportunity.”

Another agreed: “Greg calling Michael Mick, Mike and anything but his name is cracking me UP.”

A third tweeted: “Love how Greg's just come in and started calling Michael ‘Mick’ hahahaha bold .”

This was echoed by a fourth fan who said: “Greg referring to him as Mick and Mike is my new favourite thing.”

Meanwhile, viewers are hoping Amber will give Greg a chance over Michael after her recent heartache.

Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
