Love Island fans accused Danny Williams of making an awkward dig at former flame Yewande Biala on the show on Monday night.
It came as he savagely dumped her from the villa in the latest recoupling, choosing new girl Arabella Chi over her.
The decision came down to the model in the latest episode, with the cast left stunned and devastated when Yewande lost her place on the show.
Now, fans of the former islander have blasted Danny over his choice of words when choosing Arabella.
Danny, like the rest of the boys, issued a speech explaining why he was choosing the girl he wanted to couple up with, before revealing the name.
Briefly, fans believed he had stuck with Yewande because of the comments he made.
But now they believe it was a not so subtle dig at the star, as he ditched her for the bombshell.
He had said he was choosing his chosen female islander because she was “intelligent” amongst other things.
Danny also claimed the person was an important part of the villa, who brought something different, despite Arabella only having been there for two days.
But with Yewande being a super clever scientist, fans believed Danny was either making her think he’d saved her, or simply throwing a dig her way.
One fan said on Twitter : “How can Danny say the most intelligent girl then pick Arabella?”
Another tweeted: “I’m sorry but how f***ing rude of Danny to say ‘I want to couple up with this girl because she is intelligent’. Obviously tryna lead Yewande on seeing and she is a F***ING SCIENTIST.”
A third added: “I’m sorry but how the f**k did Danny call ARABELLA intelligent in front of a F***ING BIO CHEMIST SCIENTIST.”
