Love Island fans have complained after Faye and Teddy came third over Kaz and Tyler in the season finale.

The final episode of the hit ITV reality series aired yesterday night (24 August) and saw Millie and Liam crowned winners.

In second place were Chloe and Toby, with Faye and Teddy coming third and Kaz and Tyler awarded fourth place.

Many viewers have spoken out against the results, pointing out the fact that Faye managed to come third despite her heavily criticised behaviour on the programme.

In an episode that aired earlier this month (6 August), Faye was seen shouting repeatedly at her partner Teddy.

More than 24,000 Ofcom complaints were registered over the incident.

“Behind FAYE and TEDDY,” wrote one stunned viewer. While another added: “Kaz and Tyler in fourth place? Behind Faye and Teddy? The UK will always be the UK.”

Another user wrote: “mrs 24,000 ofcom complaints has beaten kaz & tyler????? Surely not SURELY NOT.”

“I didn’t expect Kaz and Tyler to win but I didn’t expect Faye and Teddy to come third given the amount of OFCOM complaints,” added someone else.

A fifth person wrote: “my brain is frazzled that kaz & Tyler came below Faye & teddy. The girl got 25k ofcom complaints for her abusive behaviour. The racism is loud and clear #LoveIsland.”

Journalist Sarah Manavis added: “Kaz and Tyler got screwed over for weeks man. They deserved better.”

“HOW HAVE FAYE AND TEDDY BEATEN KAZ AND TYLER WHEN FAYE LED TO 24,000 OFCOM VOTES!??? WHAT THE HELL?” wrote someone else.

Another person said: “I know I shouldn’t be shocked but… FAYE actually got further than Kaz and Tyler. Faye. FAYE! Throwing this show in the bin.”

Love Island’s seventh season came to an end yesterday (23 August). Read our review here.
