Love Island fans slam producers for 'sly tactic' to break up Dami and Indiyah in Casa Amor

Love Island fans have been left suspicious that the ITV2 producers could have intervened in Indiyah Pollock and Dami Hope ’s relationship as the pair were split amid Casa Amor.

On Sunday evening the boys packed suitcases for the girls after they left to go to the separate villa for a week.

As the boys packed, Dami came up with the idea of putting something special in their cases, putting a ring in her bag.

However, when Indiyah was then seen unpacking their suitcase in Casa Amor, she looked upset not to find anything of Dami’s among her things, while Gemma Owen and Paige Thorne had.

But given the earlier scenes, Love Island fans were left convinced the producers could have removed the ring from her suitcase to stir up trouble with the happy couple.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Wait did the producers remove the ring Dami put for Indiyah????”

A second posted: “I thought Dami gave Indiyah his ring??? Wtf??? #loveisland have you set something up because this looks fishy,” as a third posted: “PRODUCERS CAMERA CREW SOMEONE TELL INDIYAH THE RING IS IN THE CASE.”

Another wrote: “Not the producers taking dami’s ring out,” as a fellow viewer tweeted: “Not the producers taking Dami’s ring out of the suitcase. Why do they hate black love so much??”

This comes as Love Island couples are being put to the test with the return of Casa Amor on Sunday evening.

Love Island has sent in twelve new Casa Amor girls and boys who are ready to cause havoc in the two villas over the next few days.

The villa's iconic flashing neon sign appeared at the end of Thursday night's episode, setting off the countdown until the main villa was split with loyalties set to be tested.

This year's second villa looks more luxurious than ever, with a secluded terrace for islanders to share secret chats and maybe a hidden kiss underneath the classic Casa Amor sign.

ITV bosses have massively shaken-up the format this year, sending the girls to Casa Amor instead of the boys at the end of Friday’s episode.

The girls in the main villa – Gemma Owen, Paige Thorne, Indiyah Polack, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Tasha Ghouri and Danica Taylor – were sent a text telling them to get ready to go out for cocktails, but were instead whisked away to the second villa, where they were greeted by a group of sexy new singletons.

The boys stayed in the main villa thinking the girls were having a night out, completely unaware of the Casa Amor bombshell coming their way.

This series has seen most of the girls in established romances including Tasha with Andrew Le Page, Gemma with Luca Bish, Indiyah with Dami Hope and Paige with Jacques O'Neill.

The last series where the girls left the main villa was in 2019, with Amber Gill, Molly-Mae Hague, and Maura Higgins on the show at the time.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
