Love Island fans lashed out at the lack of diversity in the line-up, claiming that ITV bosses have done the "bare minimum".
It comes after this year's line-up was introduced last week, featuring PE teacher Hugo Hammond, who is the show's first ever physically disabled star.
The 24-year-old, from Hampshire, who was born with clubfoot, has travelled the world playing cricket for England PD.
This year's cast also features Islanders Kaz Kamwi, Aaron Francis and Toby Aromolaran, who are black and mixed race.
But fans were still not impressed as they took to Twitter to let rip at the show and were particularly furious that none of the male Islanders picked the only black female contestant.
One tweeted: "i dont think #LoveIsland knows what diversity means."
While another wrote: "Me waiting for love island to have diversity every year…still waiting #LoveIsland."
A third fumed: "Me reacting to love islands failed attempt at diversity #LoveIsland."
"Diversity on this show is pointless if you aren’t putting contestants in who are attracted to those diverse types. #LoveIsland," another pointed out.
This certainly isn't the first time the show was criticised over its lack of diverse cast.
In 2019, viewers were left feeling considerably underwhelmed with the inclusion of a so-called 'plus-size' model in the line-up - instead suggesting that it made them feel fat.
Curvaceous Anna Vakili described herself as a 'bigger woman' and looked stunning in her bikini.
But fans raised their eyebrows at the ITV2's show attempt at adding diversity into the show.
One tweeted: "I’ll just be here with my fat 5ft 7 a** crying into a bag of ready salted every night at 9pm thanks to the unrealistic body images but still watching it anyway."
