Love Island fans say 'stunning' Shaughna looks 'unrecognisable' on Instagram

Fans of the winter series of Love Island said star Shaughna Phillips looks "unrecognisable" and "beautiful" in her first Instagram post since leaving the villa.

After her shock departure, Shaughna returned to the UK to say she's safe and has her head held high.

Shaughna dealt with some difficult times in the villa, but was praised for her grace and dignity, the Manchester Evening News reported..

And now the 25-year-old has taken to social media to thank fans for their support.

Posting a glam selfie on Instagram, Shaughna wrote a heartfelt message to fans. She said: "I have been so scared to do my first post, but mainly because I have been so completely overwhelmed by all the amazing love and support I have received both in the villa, and since I’ve been back.

"Can I first just say thank you from the very bottom of my heart to everyone who has spent their time watching my journey, and reaching out with support, it means more than you’ll ever know!

"It is a very surreal world I am living in right now, I am just your average every day girl who was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity of a lifetime, and I will forever be grateful.

"If I have learnt anything from my time in the villa, and from the reception I’ve received since leaving, it is that being yourself will always be enough.

"I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my journey with you all, and once again, thank you all so much. I love you!"

Many fans were touched, but others were left confused by how 'unrecognisable' Shaughna looked in the picture.

One user simply wrote: "Unrecognisable"

"This looks nothing like you?" questioned one fan.

Another said: "You don’t look the same doe."

Others, however, rushed to compliment the Love Island star, the Manchester Evening News reported.

"Absolutely stunning. You are an absolute credit to yourself," gushed one fan.

Holly Hagan said: "OMG STUNNING."

Jake Quickenden wrote: "Keep being you, it’s tough in the industry, keep being real."
