Love Island fans rush to complain over Movie Night episode

Love Island fans took to Twitter to complain on Friday night after being left disappointed by the Movie Night episode.

Ahead of this week's fifth instalment of the ITV2 dating show, trailers were released announcing tonight would be the night the contestants would see what their partners were up to during Casa Amor.

Movie night makes or breaks relationships and tonight, viewers were poised to see everything that's going down in the villa for the islanders. Over the last few weeks, the majority of couples have reconciled after messy breakups but there is still a lot their partners don't know about what really went down.

But as the episode aired, fans became less and less patient. And with just fifteen minutes left, Gemma received a text telling the islanders to prepare for a red carpet movie night.

While the islanders reacted excitedly, viewers at home were less impressed. Taking to Twitter, Chloe said: "On my way to Ofcom to complain we was told movie night was tonight when we'll have a preview".

Soph said: "I want a word with these producers, because they’ve made out we was fully gonna see all of movie night but we’ll end up seeing 5 mins and we’ll have to wait till Sunday". Emma said: "Are you serious they get a message saying they are having movie night then an advert comes on at this rate we will be waiting until Sunday".

Sammy said: "Movie night hasn’t even started and there’s barely 10 mins left of the show". Kate said: "12 minutes is NOT enough for movie night".

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub
