Love Island fans rumble 'truth' behind Michael 'cheating' on Amber after shock kiss

Love Island 2019 viewers were in uproar on Friday, as a teaser appeared to suggest Michael Griffiths would kiss another girl despite his romance with Amber Gill.

The girls are currently in Casa Amor, the second villa, getting to know some new boys.

Meanwhile, the boys are in the original Majorca villa getting to know six new female singletons.

But now, some fans are fearing couples will be torn apart as the newbies turn heads, with Michael appearing to kiss Joanna Chimonides on the next episode.

Some viewers think they’ve rumbled the truth behind that clip though, recalling a similar twist last year.

Last year, Dani Dyer ’s partner Jack Fincham appeared to kiss another girl and fans were furious.

But the next day it was confirmed it was in fact a sexy challenge that required the boys and the Casa Amor girls to perform different things including passing items using only their mouths.

Now, fans are convinced Michael’s kiss with new girl Joanna will also be part of a challenge.

While they fear Amber will be shown the moment, potentially risking their relationship, viewers are confident Michael hasn’t cheated.

One fan said: “Do you remember when they convinced us Jack was going to cheat on Dani but they were just playing a game ... yeah, that’s what they’re doing with Michael!”

Another tweeted: “Okay we can convince ourselves that Michael was doing a challenge in the preview but I swear to god if they send that small clip to Amber like they did last year Amber will go off and everyone’s dead.”

A third tweeted: “Me tryna convince myself Michael is playing a game and wouldn’t do that to Amber.”

This was echoed by another fan who said: “praying that the clip of Michael necking off with someone else is a challenge.”

Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
