Liam Reardon seemingly can’t do anything right inside the Love Island villa as his romance with Millie Court has been put under strain thanks to some ungentlemanly behaviour and now for the fact he forgot her name.
The 21-year-old Welshman has been coupled up with 24-year-old fashion buyer Millie for over two weeks on the hit ITV2 reality romance series.
But their relationship hit a couple of speed bumps this past week due to a number of factors.
Fans of the series tuning in to Love Island : Unseen Bits on Saturday night were unimpressed when they saw Liam fail to correctly recall Millie’s full name when they cuddled up together on the day beds.
The awkward exchange began when fellow Islander Abigail Rawlings, 27, announced her full name – prompting Millie to ask: "What's my last name, Liam?”
Scrambling, Liam asked if it was “Cole” – and Millie laughed when the 6ft 6inch bricklayer insisted that it is Cole.
Millie then asked: "Are you serious? What is it? What is my surname?"
Liam then confidently, but incorrectly, replied: "It is, it starts with C. It's Cole."
He later offered: “Is it Cooper?” prompting Millie to laugh: “No, it isn’t!”
Liam eventually recalled that her last name was Court, and pulled her in for a hug as he apologised over his mishap.
Viewers were unimpressed by the exchange – with many already turning on the reality star following his bad behaviour over the past week which saw him snogging other female contestants in Casa Amor.
One viewer tweeted: "seeing millie and liam happy around each other feels a bit awkward now, him not knowing your last name should of been a redflag #loveisland"
Another wrote: "Liam doesn't even know Millie's surname? What do they do in their coupling? Only kiss? #LoveIsland"
A further fan wrote: "Nahh Liam not knowing Millies surname should have been a concern #LoveIsland."
While another asked: "how do i know millies name better than liam #LoveIsland”.
It has been an explosive week on Love Island as relationships were strained, and even destroyed, after the boys left the main villa to take up temporary residence in Casa Amor.
The second house was filled with attractive singletons, leaving the boys – who had all already been coupled up – testing their loyalties.
Liam accepted a lap dance from 22-year-old Lillie Haynes while in the Casa Amor house – and also locked lips with her outside of tasks.
Millie was left outraged in scenes that aired on Friday night when the truth about Liam’s activities were revealed – and viewers were outraged when he appeared to laugh off the explosive revelations.
Liam won't want for attention regardless of what happens on Love Island, it would seem, as a beautician who treats his eyebrows in his home town in Wales has shared how all the staff at the salon lust after him.
Jane O'Shea, 53, who owns The Beauty Box Salon in Merthyr Tydfil, told The Sun : “To be honest, we all fancy him rotten. He’s a beautiful man and none of us can take our eyes off him when he comes in.
“Even though I’m 32 years older than him, I think he’s gorgeous and I really fancy him.”
