Love Island fans react as ITV2 'finally' brings back missing part of show

Love Island viewers have reacted after the 2022 series "finally" brought back a much-missed detail on Monday night's show. Fans of the ITV2 dating show have been calling for the return of the "tomorrow night" teaser trailer since the new season began.

When the popular programme returned last week many pointed out the element of the format was missing. The crucial part gives a glimpse of what's to come as narrator Iain Stirling ominously teases "tomorrow night".

The lack of previews left many frustrated, with viewers complaining over the course of the week. @MuradMerali wrote: "I've realised Love Island have stopped putting the 'Tomorrow Night' trailers. They better return that immediately."

While @Cr4ckwh0r31 added: "ITV stop leaving us on cliffhangers we need 'Tomorrow night' back." And @ashtynleabarlow commented: "What happened to the 'tomorrow night' thing at the end of every ep? The uncertainty is killing me I need to know if s***'s about to hit the fan or not??"

However, following last night's episode on Monday, June 13, fans were overjoyed to hear that producers had appeared to listen to their complaints.

At the end of the instalment, Iain could be heard saying: "Tomorrow night, there's trouble in paradise and two new boys are on their way." The trailer then showed a clip of Gemma Owen and Luca Bish arguing before teasing the arrival of two new bombshells, Jay Younger and Remi Lambert.

Reacting to the return of the preview, @BenJagun1 wrote: "They finally brought back what we've been missing in Love Island so far, at the end of each episode 'tomorrow night'."

While @6meredithh added: "When you see 'tomorrow night' you know it's going to be a good episode," and @hibsfansam commented: "Finally we got a tomorrow night preview."

Monday night's episode saw the first dumping from the Love Island villa. Bombshell Afia Tonkmor left the show after new contestant Jacques O'Neill decided to couple up with Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne.

The surprise dumping came just days after Liam Llewellyn, who hails from Newport, decided to quit the show. You can read more on this here.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories, get our newsletter here.
