Love Island fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of bombshell Arabella Chi tonight after a teaser clip at the end of Wednesday's episode showed a shocked Curtis Pritchard discovering her in the villa.
The ballroom dancer's gormless reaction left some fans suspecting that he might have ties to the newbie.
And desperate for answers, viewers set out to do some detective work – soon discovering that they already follow each other on social media.
Taking to Twitter to share their findings, one eagle-eyed fan wrote: "Being the detective I am I found the new girls Instagram and Curtis already follows her.
"So they defo know each other from the outside. You’re welcome. #LoveIsland".
Many others pointed out that Arabella's account also follows Curtis on the picture sharing site.
Plus, some even speculated that the pair might have previously dated as they sought to explain their online connection.
While it might seem odd that the contestants already have links on social media, ITV sources told Mirror Online that it was simply the friends manning Curtis' account who had given Arabella a follow.
The duo aren't be the first to be following each other while in the villa, as several of the islanders' accounts interact on Instagram via their friends and family.
The speculation about Curtis and Arabella comes as many viewers have grown tired of his relationship with Amy.
After Amy and Lucie's rowing last week, fans have gone from loving the couple to finding them "fake" and "annoying".
"Wished they’d sent Amy and Curtis home they make me want to throw up!! They’re so sickly fake!," one wrote recently.
"I honestly think Amy and Curtis are a fake couple unless they get a reality show i can't see them staying together after the cameras stop rolling," another agreed.
