Love Island fans livid as they predict Casa Amor being 'cut short' will mean less drama

Fans of Love Island are up in arms about Casa Amor - not because of all the drama that has been unleashed as a result, but because the notorious twist element of the show has been ‘cut short’.

Traditionally, the Casa Amor element of Love Island sees half the contestants shipped out to a secret second compound where they mingle with a bevvy of new bombshells and their existing relationships are tested to the limit.

And while past seasons of the show have seen this segment of the season last for a week of mayhem and drama, highlights for the 2023 have already come to an end after just three days.

As a consequence, fans of the long-running ITV reality romance show are up in arms - and demanding to have more action from the captivating second villa.

Flooding social media with comments of frustration, one fan tweeted: "Casa Amor is too short, na!!! They couldn’t do one week?”

Another exclaimed: “I’m so disappointed that Casa Amor is over already. I wanted more drama!”

And another huffed: "They cut Casa Amor short to try and create drama, when it does the opposite. Everyone just goes back to the old relationship."

Wednesday night’s episode of Love Island promises to be filled with drama regardless as the contestants regroup and couples are asked to reform - or walk away.

Show host Maya Jada flew back to Mallorca to oversee the recoupling ceremony and has some words of wisdom for the waiting contestants.

In scenes that will air tonight, she will be shown telling the amassed group: “Well boys, as you know tonight will be a recoupling where every one of you will have a very important decision to make.

“I‘m going to ask each of you one by one whether you want to stick with your current partner who's been living in Casa Amor, or if you want to recouple with one of these beautiful girls stood in front of you.”

“The girls in Casa Amor have also been given the choice whether they want to stick with you or recouple with one of the new boys.”

She also warns: “Remember Casa Amor is the ultimate relationship test and these last few days would have put your trust and loyalties to the test.”

“Do you have faith in your partner? Or do you think she will have strayed?”

Fans have already speculated that ‘sneaky’ contestant Sammy Root will choose to couple with Amber Wise - despite telling fellow contestant Gabby Jeffrey that he had feelings for her.

The cheeky project manager from Kent locked lips with both ladies in the Casa Amor villa - but viewers are convinced, if unimpressed, that he will pick 19-year-old Amber over 24-year-old Gabby.

One convinced fan tweeted: "LMAOOOO NOT SAMMY RECOUPLING WITH AMBER??? Wasn’t he the SAME man who said he’s feeling Gabi MORE than Amber like what the f***."

And others agreed, with one tweeting: "Yeah, this doesn’t make sense in the slightest. I’m sure Sammy said that although he prefers Gabby to Amber, that he preferred Jess above both of them? I wonder what happened in this episode for this 180?"
