Love Island fans left awkward as exes Amy and Curtis come face-to-face for first time

Love Island 2019 former power couple Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart came face-to-face for the first time since she left the villa, during Sunday's reunion show.

It was mega awkward for fans, as Amy and Curtis were forced to share a table on the live show, even joined by Curtis' new flame Maura Higgins.

They were then invited to talk together by host Caroline, putting them all on the spot.

Caroline introduced them all on the show and promised they'd all be sharing the sofa together, but fans were left cringing as the trio were separated by Casa Amor islander Marvin.

Taking to Twitter , fans questioned the decision to sit the trio together given this was the first time they had met up since Amy left the show.

One viewer said: "Maura, Curtis and Amy sharing a table isn't awkward at all..."

Another tweeted: "They did not have to put Amy on the table next to Maura and Curtis omg."

A third commented: "How they've sat Maura, Curtis and Amy."

Amy fled the villa heartbroken after Curtis dumped her, with the pair initially tipped to win the ITV2 dating series.

After her exit Curtis moved on with Maura Higgins, with the pair still together now.

For the first time since her exit from the villa, Amy saw Curtis and even Maura as they were reunited on Love Island: The Reunion - until then they had not seen each other.

While the pair had spoken on the phone, Amy and Curtis, who hoped to remain good friends, had not been together in person since she announced her exit from the series.

She also hadn't been in the same room with Maura since the same time, with Maura and Curtis not even a couple when this took place.

While the trio were all smiled, viewers were left increasingly awkward by the scenes.
