Love Island fans in hysterics as Michael sat under 'cheat' sign on Aftersun

Love Island's Michael Griffiths was only dumped from the villa during Sunday's show, but he was whisked back to England to appear on spin-off show, Aftersun.

The Liverpudlian fire fighter looked nervous as he appeared on screens to face a grilling from Caroline Flack over his treatment of Amber Gill and Joanna Chimonides.

However, rather than sympathise with him, fans were left in stitches as they noticed the set appeared to be making a dig at his 'snakey' actions.

As he sat talking to Caroline about his time on the show, one viewer was quick to point out that the wall art – which comprised of different florescent words frequently uttered on the show – was rather unfortunately placed.

"Love how Michael’s sitting under the ‘cheat’ sign Too accurate lmao. #LoveIsland ," one viewer wrote on Twitter.

And several others seemed to find his positioning amusing too, with the post swiftly racking up 51 'likes'.

It wasn't just the set that got viewers talking when Michael made an appearance on the show, as his dramatic U-turn on his feelings for Amber also caused the audience to audibly gasp.

The star revealed that he wanted to crack on with Joanna again, hilariously causing Anton's mum to shout: "Don't do it Joanna!," from the audience.

Michael spoke more about his feelings for Joanna in an exclusive chat with Mirror Online after his exit.

He claimed: "I'm excited to speak to her but I'm not sure how - or if - she's going to speak to me," he admitted.

"I don't blame her in the slightest, if Joanna tells me to leave her alone I'd totally respect that and I'd understand why she'd say that.

"I'd be upset 'cos I wouldn't be able to make things work but it's one of those things, everyone makes mistakes. I'd hope we could work towards it but if she doesn't want to revisit it then she doesn't want to revisit it. It's up to her, really."
