Love Island fans hit out at the girls for 'bullying' Maura Higgins and Elma Pazar

Love Island fans accused the girls of “bullying” new arrivals Elma Pazar and Maura Higgins as they continued to make them uncomfortable during their dates.

Viewers were incredibly unimpressed with the “childish” behaviour of the original islanders while they watched the new arrivals with prying eyes from the balcony.

During her date with Michael Griffiths, the girls heckled Maura from above as they tried to tuck into their dessert, leaving her uncomfortable with their “nasty” behaviour.

“Why are they being so immature? This is embarrassing,” the Irish grid girl said before taking her opportunity to “give them something to talk about” by feeding Michael a piece of their dessert.

However, when the time came to meet the new arrivals, the girls bounded over to them like “best friends” and immediately started to get to know them – and their types.

Fans were infuriated by the “fake” women in the villa, branding them “bullies” for how “two-faced” they were acting.

One wrote: “Every single girl in that villa acted like playground bullies in that situation. Absolutely disgusting behaviour #LoveIsland.”

Another said: “Cringing watching the girls on #LoveIsland acting like childish bullies...”

“The levels of maturity from the girls and the way that they have tried taunting the new lasses is shocking. Childish and bully like behaviour. #loveisland,” commented somebody else.

Amber Gill’s behaviour came back to haunt her, with Michael calling her “childish” before questioning whether they had a future in the villa.

First look at Love Island – new girls cause a stir

As the group came together for the first time, Michael fumed: “I can’t be dealing with this s***. “F*** that nah, I can’t be dealing with childish girls.”

He later told the Beach Hut: “I waited at the bottom of the stairs so I could speak to Amber and reassure her again that there is no reason for her to feel any kind of way.

“She walked straight past me and ignored Maura who I was on a date with.”

But the couple soon reconciled, with Michael reassuring Amber she didn’t have anything to worry about.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
