Love Island fans have spotted a major problem with this year's series

Love Island fans are despairing after a week of the contestants coupling up in the TV villa.

Many viewers are reluctantly losing hope in the new series of the ITV2 dating show because they're worried that none of the couples actually seem to like each other.

They noted that romance was severely lacking during an 'awkward' brunch set up for the pairings, especially when Liam Reardon left the table to use the toilet during his converation with date Faye Winter.

As jaws dropped, Faye told her fellow Islanders that they really had overheard him correctly.

"The chat is dead, no chemistry between couples," grumbled one vieweron Twitter.

"Love island isn’t even loving, it’s just islanding," said another.

"Their dates were soooo awkward," said another fan.

"That brunch was honestly painful to watch," another fan commented.

"Why are none of the couples even slightly into each other?" asked another.

And another pointed out: "Guys no-one likes each other."

Another fan called for the early arrival of Casa Amor which sees the Islanders tempted by a raft of new arrivals.

"We need casa amor NOW", they urged.

"Is it too late to replace the cast?" another wondered.

In a tense chat about pets Faye revealed she has two cats to which Liam's response was "I hate cats."

Over on Kaz Kamwi and Toby Aromolaran's table, Toby admitted to being 'a bit off' for a couple days because he's been unsure of his feelings.

Jake Cornish didn't hold back when he told Liberty Poole that if there was another girl who came in the villa who was his type, he'd want to get to know her.

And Aaron Francis was feeling disconnected from 'career driven' Sharon Gaffka after revealing that he's a family man and wants four children.

"She's so success, success, success and she's only ever dated doctors and bankers," he told his mates.

"She's very, very career driven which might be a bit too much for me."

And newcomer Rachel Finni was in tears as she told Faye that she's now doubting Brad McClelland after choosing to couple up with him and send rival Chuggs Wallis home in the contest.

"I feel like I've given him a place," she said.

"He's like 'thank you for having me back here now go and find someone else.'"
