Love Island fans were stunned to learn the famous 'I Got a Text' announcement had been swapped to a voice note in the first episode.
In the conclusion of an explosive opening on the ITV show, the Love Islanders were in for a shock when it was revealed that a bombshell contestant would be descending upon the villa imminently.
Ahead of Chloe's arrival, she sent the group a seductive message as she asked them to join her for a date.
As the contestants sat around the fire pit, Toby's phone quickly buzzed and he revealed: "I've got a text you know... I've got a voice note"
However, instead of receiving a written message like in the previous seasons, this time Chloe sent the boys a voice note.

"Hey boys, how are you? Chloe here, I've just arrived and I'm out the front of the villa. I'd like to take you all on a date, but I'll let you guys decide who wants to come and join me. Hopefully I'll see you soon," she said.
As expected, the reaction to her voice note will air in tomorrow's episode as fans tune in for yet another dose of romance and drama.
However, viewers of the show also had a mixed reaction about the introduction of the voice notes.
" #LoveIsland Chloe thinking she got all the boys falling for her with that ‘sexy’ voice note," joked one fan.
“i’ve got a voice note” ?????? WTF IS THIS. WHERE’S THE “i’ve got a text!!” #LoveIsland," added a second.
Another added: "Chloe listening to her voice note knowing it’s going to cause problems #LoveIsland."
Love Island 2021 is back with a bang in what is bound to be a bumper series after ITV was forced to pull the plug last summer because of the pandemic.
In the first episode, five couples were confirmed as they made their debut in the Mallorca villa for the first time.

So far, the couples are Sharon Gaffka and Hugo Hammond, Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, Shannon Singh and Aaron Francis, Kaz Kamwi and Toby Aromolaran as well as Faye Winter and Brad McClelland.
While plenty of sexy singletons are expected to descend upon the villa in the next few weeks, it is also not too last for hopeful Love Islanders to apply for a chance to be on the show.
The application form can be found on the ITV website and you have until July 16 to complete it.
All applicants must be 18 years or over and hold a passport that is valid until at least February 2022.
