Love Island fans convinced Paige and Dami are growing close after villa romance rumours

Love Island fans are speculating over the bond between former Islanders Paige Thorne and Dami Hope, with some suggesting they're growing quite close.

Paige, 24, and Dami, 26, hadn't been coupled up in the villa on the ITV2 show but viewers had felt there was chemistry between them during the series over the summer.

Some viewers were even suspicious that they had more than a platonic friendship – but he's dating Indiyah Polack, 23, and Paige is in a relationship with Adam Collard, 26.

The four of them – along with Tasha Ghouri, 24, and Andrew Le Page, 27 – reunited last night in London, which has prompted further speculation over Paige and Dami.

The former Islanders shared footage from their reunion on their Instagram accounts, with a fan later uploading a compilation for a TikTok video on Paige and Dami.

It included a clip of Paige, Dami and Indiyah posing for photos together at a table. Paige was seen in the middle of the couple, who met on Love Island over the summer.

The other clip showed Paige and Dami dancing whilst sat next to each other, with Indiyah briefly seen to the left of Paige – who was in between the couple at the table again.

The person who posted the compilation wrote: "Glad to see they all didn't let the negativity affect their friendships." The video itself included red hearts alongside the pair's names.

Some fans, however, felt that Paige and Dami looked a little close in the footage, with it suggested by some viewers that there might be more to the relationship than a friendship.

Several viewers questioned in the comments section why Paige was seen sitting between Dami and his partner Indiyah in the clips that featured as part of the compilation.

"The way she's in the middle," wrote one viewer alongside a crying emoji. Another commented in response to the recent clips: "I think they’re getting too close to each other."

One person even speculated: "They are in love with each other." Another said in the comments section: "It's giving 'your replacement is closer than you think' vibes."

Other viewers however came to the defence of Paige and Dami, suggesting that the clips don't show anything other than two friends spending time together in a group.

"Can she not sit next to her friend?" asked one person amid the speculation. Another said similarly: "Is he not allowed to have friends?" A third said: "Chill they're just best friends."

Some commented that they had each been sat with their respective partners at other times in the night. One fan had responded: "They only sat like this to take a picture."

Footage shared on social media showed Paige sat in between her partner Adam and Tasha – who was celebrating her birthday – at least once whilst on their recent night out.

During their series of Love Island, it was said that Paige raised Dami's heart rate the most during the infamous challenge and she later described him as her "best friend."

Paige was quizzed about their relationship after leaving the villa and she commented that they are just friends.

The Mirror approached reps of Paige and Dami for comment.
