One Love Island couple have left fans of the show speculating about the nature of their relationship, after they enjoyed a passionate kiss together, despite stating that they are only ‘best friends’.
Tanyel Revan and Ron Hall recently coupled up on the show in order to be safe from elimination, professing that they are just friends.
However, during yesterday evening’s episode, the Islanders were tasked with taking part in the kissing challenge, in which the girls had to snog each boy, one by one, while they wore a blindfold.
During the saucy challenge, Tanyel and Ron appeared to enjoy a raunchy and long-lasting kiss with each other.
The smooch was that passionate, it got the other Islanders and viewers talking.
The show’s cast were left confused, trying to work out if they were reading too much into what they had seen.
Olivia Hawkins discussed the kiss in the beach hut, saying: "The kiss was very passionate and went on a long time."
Fans of the show were quick to discuss the kiss on social media, believing the pair may be harbouring a secret romance.
One fan said: "That kiss between Ron and Tanyel was suspicious..."
Another wrote: "Ron and Tanyel like each other mate," while a third declared: "I feel like Tanyel and Ron are gonna do a friends to lovers thing."
A fourth typed: "Nah Tanyel and Ron bruv just couple up cos what was that kiss bro."
Speaking about the snog, Tanyel defended her intentions, saying: "I kissed Ron because he is my best friend in here. I felt comfortable."
It comes after the other Islanders spotted the pair’s “undeniable chemistry”.
Upon seeing the pair chatting at the firepit after pairing up during the recoupling, Aaron said: "Ron and Tanyel might kick off you know”, with Kai responding: "I genuinely think they have a connection; I've said it before".
Ellie said: "I've never felt some much hostile from someone from being with Ron, than Tanyel."
Tanyel and Ron also hinted that something may have happened between the pair throughout the night.
Upon watching the footage, one Love Island fan commented: “Ron and Tanyel under the covers?”
