Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole 's seismic decision to break up and quit Love Island just days before the final has devastated their fans and friends in the villa.
But one eagle-eyed viewer has argued that the news wouldn't have come as a shock to 21-year-old Liberty's parents, as they believe they were tipped off by producers days in advance.
It was revealed yesterday that the popular couple had called time on their relationship after six weeks, and as a mark of respect to the other lovebirds still competing for the £50,000 prize, had decided to quit the show.
In the light of these new developments, one fan noticed something unusual about Liberty's Instagram, and shared their theory on Reddit.
They wrote: "Just something I noticed after watching last nights preview... the person in charge of Libs instagram hasn't posted in a few days and they did not do a post encouraging fans to vote for Jiberty in the last public vote.

"To me this adds weight to the theory that things aren't going well/a split is on the cards and perhaps family have recently been in touch with Love Island due to her emotional distress (not sure how many days behind but assuming the events we are watching happened a couple of days ago).
"Or maybe they have done the family visit/zoom call where they expressed doubts about Jake and feel it would be hypocritical to hype up the relationship they don't approve of on social media."
The most recent photo shared by her supporters was posted three days ago and featured a picture of the Brummie student taken before she entered the show.

It was captioned: "Can we please just take a minute to appreciate this little diamond. Beautiful inside & out and amazing how well Libby has held herself in the villa for the last 7 weeks. #proud."
Last night fans saw the pretty marketing student and Jake, 24, bid farewell to the villa in an emotional exit after the pair called time on their romance during Thursday's episode - with Liberty heartbroken over recent events.
As producers still sent the former couple on one final date on Friday night's show, the exes discussed their time together in the villa and made the shocking joint decision to head home early.
Liberty said it was the correct decision for her to leave regardless, and he agreed to do the same - not wanting her to return to the outside world on her own.

The one-time couple hugged it out saying "that's life" admitting they both had no regrets.
As they returned to the villa, they asked their fellow Islanders to gather at the fire pit as they prepared to break the news to them.
Liberty said: "We've just both come to the conclusion that obviously that in this moment in time, it's best for us to go our separate ways."
