Love Island fans claim Faye was stitched up with unflattering hair extensions shot

Love Island fans have claimed contestant Faye Winter was stitched up after an unflattering shot of her hair extensions was broadcast.

Flabbergasted viewers leapt to the defence of the star and one accused the show of "doing Faye dirty".

Faye, 26, has already ruffled feathers in the villa and, along with fiery Sharon Gaffka, brought Hugo Hammond to tears in their fakery row.

Hugo said he dislikes “fake” people, with Faye and Sharon taking exception to his comment as they have both had work done on their bodies.

But despite outspoken Faye not shy of speaking her mind, one shocked fan was horrified to her her hair extensions in full view in one shot, writing: “NOOOOOOO producers has done Faye dirty #LoveIsland.”

“I was shocked,” added the viewer as the social media strand was liked over 15,000 times.

“I was that an was like nahhh they’ve sis dirtyyyy,” echoed a fan.

“The producers are getting justice for Hugo,” offered one cheeky fan.

“Hugh gna touch her tracks n be like is that fake hair,” said another.

“My mum fully put her glasses on and pointed this out,” teased one viewer.

Faye was seen chilling in the villa, but her hair extensions were very noticeable.

The Lettings manager, from Devon, will undoubtedly have preferred to have been shown in a better light.

Faye has been the centre of attention in quite a few scenes from the new series.

Not afraid to have a row, she shouted at Chloe Burrows in last night’s eye-raising episode, screaming at her to “shut up”.

Faye was angry after Chloe snogged fellow contestant Toby Aromolaran in a sexy challenge called ‘Line of Booty’, a play on the hit BBC series Line of Duty.

But Toby is currently coupled up with Kaz Kamwi - and Faye was quick to defend her pal when she saw Chloe ear-wigging on their conversation.

"Stop being nosey and stay over there in your vibe,” Faye shouted at Chloe, as well as telling her to “stop looking over here”.

Tensions in the villa are rapidly rising, so much so that producers of the hit ITV2 show have moved Sunday night’s programme to a later time slot so it doesn’t clash with the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.

The show usually airs at 9pm, but will start an hour later at 10pm so that the programme can attract as many viewers as possible.

Faye has played down her chances of success of pocketing the £50,000 prize and finding love in the villa.

Faye is a 26-year-old lettings agent from Devon (ITV)

Amazingly she stressed she would return to her day job once the show is over.

"Anything that comes extra, it will be a massive bonus,” admitted Faye.

“However, I've just taken a sabbatical from work, I love my job, I love all of my friends, I love where I live.

“So for me, it was never an end goal to go in there and come out with anything more than what I have now."

Faye said that she had enjoyed lockdown as she "took it as time not to date anyone".

"Then I came out of it and thought, 'OK, now I'm ready, now I know who I am, now I'm stronger and I don't need to be anybody I don't want to be. Let's find a man, let's do this!"
