Love Island fans cancel plans in droves to stay in for explosive Casa Amor recoupling

Thursday's episode of Love Island was the most explosive one of the series so far, so it's no surprise that ratings were through the roof.

ITV have confirmed that the reality TV series had its biggest overnight audience since the 2019 final with a total audience of 3.9m across all devices.

The explosive instalment, which saw the original boys and girls reunited in the main villa, had a TV audience of 3.0m viewers and was up on the equivalent episode last year by a strong +0.8m TV viewers.

The show won its slot and was the most watched programme of the day for 16-34s.
