Love Island fans brand shopping trip 'fake' and a setup after Anton gives out his number

Love Island fans have blasted the reality series for being "fake" after producers sent Anton Danyluk, Tommy Fury and Jordan Hames out on a shopping trip.

The trio were seen heading to the supermarket to get supplies for dinner and during the visit Anton was seen giving his phone number on a slip of paper to a shop assistant.

Later Tommy dropped his pal in it when he revealed Anton had risked his relationship with Belle to flirt behind her back.

But viewers weren't convinced that it was even real slamming the dramatic scenes for being "scripted".

"This has been the most fake, most staged and badly scripted episode EVER," fumed one.

"That entire shopkeeper thing was just so staged. Makes the girl look mad and neurotic and jealous all the time. Very annoying."

"Its acc mad how scripted this shows getting, like who's acting like that in a supermarket," added another.

"I have never seen anything more scripted in my life than that tonight. Anton clearly told to give out his number, Tommy & Molly told to spread it then Tommy goes and tells anton who doesn’t seem to care and then makes a big deal out of doing it himself???

As the Islander don't actually have access to their phones while on the show one claimed the producers were "reaching".

As the boys arrive at the supermarket, Tommy suggested the boys pick up some asparagus.

Anton replied “That’s a green bean, mate!” and then decides to grab a trolley and lollipop for Tommy as they pushded him around the supermarket.

They wandered around the shop with Tommy making several poor and embarrassing attempts to speak Spanish to the supermarket staff.

The boys picked up the ingredients and headed to the checkout to settle the bill. Anton couldn’t resist a little flirt with the shopkeeper and jokingly wrote his number on the back of the receipt and passed it to her as they left.

Tommy then went on to break bro code when he dished the gossip to Molly-Mae at dinner and she then went on to tell the girls.

Anna and Joanna were stunned to hear the news as their jaws dropped, while Belle is yet to discover what Anton had done behind her back.

Love Island returns to ITV2 on Sunday at 9pm
