Love Island 2019 viewers jumped to Amber Gill’s defence on the show on Tuesday, after she was left upset with former flame Michael Griffiths.
But it was one moment that left fans riled up, when her closest pal in the villa Anna Vakili confessed she “couldn’t be bothered” with the drama despite Amber being treated badly by their fellow islander.
Michael had dumped Amber for new girl Joanna recently, and since then, especially since Joanna’s exit from the show, Michael hasn’t exactly been nice to the Geordie lass.
Viewers turned on him this week as he told Amber to “sit down” before speaking to her “rudely”, something he apologised for in Tuesday’s episode.
But before this, Amber shared her anger with the girls about the way she was being treated.
In the fallout, Amber confessed she was disappointed in the girls as straight after telling her Michael was in the wrong, several of them were seen joking around with him.
Not happy with no one standing up for her to Michael, she called them out leading to a slight spat with Maura Higgins.
When the duo headed off to clear the air, Molly-Mae Hague predicted things would “go off” between them.
It’s then that Anna was heard saying she “couldn’t be bothered” with Amber’s drama, and the situation with Michael.
She said: “Oh please don’t say that cos I really can’t be bothered with it.”
Fans hit out at Anna’s comments, believing it made her a “fake friend” and claiming she wasn’t being there for her clearly devastated pal.
One viewer tweeted: “Did anyone HEAR ANNA when Maura called Amber for a chat ‘I can’t be bothered with this’. Someone text Ambers’ phone NOW.”
Another said: “Anna is a fake friend,” while a third agreed: “Oh f**king shut up Anna about you 'can’t be bothered'. Amber should be going in on you rather than Maura for being such a fake friend!”
