Love Island fans blast Anton over his bizarre reason for 'offensive dig' at Anna

Love Island 2019 ’s Anton Danyluk found himself in hot water on Wednesday with his fellow islanders, after a comment he made to Anna Vakili.

The Scottish gym owner made a blunder by telling the beauty that she was nice on the inside but Molly-Mae Hague was his "type on paper".

Anna didn’t know whether to take offence to the claim, feeling as though he was basically saying he didn’t find her attractive.

After finding out what had happened, Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths pulled him to one side to give him a telling off.

Furious Amber asked: "Why the f*** did you go over and say Molly-Mae was 'my type on paper'?"

Michael agreed that he was wrong to say what he said, suggesting he simply didn’t think about what came out of his mouth.

Anton confessed he didn’t mean it like that before coming up with a bizarre reason for his way with words.

He admitted he thought the chat had actually gone quite well, but Amber hit back at him.

In the Beach hut, Anton said: "I feel it's a miscommunication between the Scottish and English side. In Scotland this works."

Viewers were left confused, especially those from Scotland, unsure how he could think his comments worked on girls there or anywhere for that matter.

Amber and Michael told him off (ITV)

One fan said: “Don’t bladdy bring Scotland into this, Anton. Your chat is s**te, you can’t blame Scotland for that.”

Another agreed: “Don’t chat s**t Anton ‘in Scotland it works’ no it doesn’t, no girl wants to hear someone say she’s fit but you have a good personality like no girl, Scottish or English, absolute d**k.”

A third commented: “ANTON: please do not say that your lines actually work in Scotland, they clearly don't otherwise you wouldn't be on Love Island!! Just face it that you have no game and go home.”

Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
